Job Description
To provide counselling services to young individuals, groups, family members for substance abuse and related issues to enhance the physical, psychological, emotional and social well-being of the community members of the Four Nations of Maskwacis.
Responsibilities
- Certified in the field of addictions (CAC2 preferred)
- Minimum of (2) years sobriety
- Knowledge and experience in traditional and contemporary healing practices and experience working with elders, healers, and clinicians an asset
- Ability to speak & understand Cree language an asset
- Provide services in a culturally sensitive manner
- Effective organizational skills, oral & written communication skills, listening & observation skills
- Ability to assist & facilitate group sessions on various topics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Access & Excel
- Knowledge of the 4 Nations Community and its resources an asset
- Valid class (5) driver’s license
- Able to work shift work (includes evenings, weekends & holidays, if required)
