Full-time Position
Community Health is seeking a compassionate individual with an understanding of First Nations dynamics and history to perform proactive and preventative addictions work with Nayoskan clients.
Job Description
The primary role is the promotion of wellness, the protection of health and the prevention of illness and injury within the community. Shall be working with children (all ages); children with long term disabilities; families; women preparing for childbirth; seniors in good health; elders with diminishing abilities; disadvantaged individuals or groups; community organizations; individuals with chronic disease. This includes our Primary focus of Contact Tracing, Health Checks and Vaccine roll-out.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- A Member of and in good standing with a professional regulatory body
- Inoculist Certification
- Certification in Community Nursing through the Canadian Nurses Association (an asset)
- Master’s Degree relevant to Public Health (an asset)
- Must have a valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license.
- Must have own transportation.
- Ability to speak and understand Cree (an asset)
Other Requirements
- Copy of Certifications.
- Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Child Intervention Clearance
- Copy of valid driver’s license.
- Driver’s Abstract
Schedule
- 8-hour shift (8:30 am to 4:30 pm)
- 5 days/week
