Temporary Full-time Position
Nayoskan is seeking a compassionate individual with an understanding of First Nations dynamics and history to perform proactive and preventative addictions work with Nayoskan clients.
Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Addictions Workers support the function and operations of the treatment facility and the residents we serve. Ensuring the smooth and efficient administration of care while maintaining the quality and integrity of services we provide. This position sets the tone for the facility to ensure routines and schedules. Addictions Workers participate in the development and maintenance of a therapeutic environment for residents as well as assisting residents in accomplishing treatment goals. The Addictions Worker provides and maintains a clean and safe environment for rehabilitation.
Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in the field of recovery or equivalent human resources work experience preferred.
- Current registration as an addictions worker or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum High School Graduate or GED is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Knowledge of the 4 Nations Community and its resources
- Ability to speak and understand Cree language & knowledge of the culture and traditions an asset.

Schedule
- 12-hour shift (8:00 pm to 8:00 am & 8:00 am to 8:00 pm)
- 4 days on, 4 days off
