Expanded COVID-19 Screening for Indigenous Communities

Are you wondering if you need to be tested for COVID -19?

If you have a fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath or diarrhea you might need to be tested.

If you think you might need testing call Maskwacis Health Center Community Health at 780-585-2020 and the staff will be happy to help you.

After your initial phone call you will be called by a Nurse Practitioner, Doctor or Nurse and they will complete screening and arrange for testing if indicated.

We are only screening those with symptoms and who are residents of Maskwacis at this time.

The symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, dry cough or other cold or influenza-like symptoms. Use the online screening tool to determine whether you need to call 811 to get tested.

Temporary Employment Available

MHS Incident Command Center is accepting applications for the following temporary contract positions to support the teams working during the current CDC Emergency COVID-19:

  1. Health Care Aides (HCA)
  2. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
  3. Registered Nurses (RN)
  4. Psych Nurses (RPN)
  5. Paramedics/EMT
  6. Custodians
  7. Security
  8. General Laborers

Shifts will vary & Sites include the Isolation Centers (Healthy People).

* All staff shall be required to report to triage sites daily for health checks prior to commencement of each shift. If found to be unfit to work for any reason they will be sent home and contracts terminated. Employees hired are also expected to maintain Social Distancing, where possible.
